I have to be able to search tracks by genre and comments. I’ve taken the time to tag tracks that I love and like mixing with and I need the ability to find them quickly. For example, I wrote down all of the songs listed at the end of the credits of Grosse Pointe Blank and then added “GrossePointe” in the comments of the songs I owned that were not included on the soundtracks. If I search for “Grosse Pointe” in iTunes all of the tracks tagged with the title appear, along with the soundtracks.

I need the ability to quickly create playlists by chosen criteria. iTunes calls them Smart Playlists. I was unwilling to leave WinAmp until I found iTunes had the same search capacity with Smart Playlists.

But on the plus, it is an amazing way to find, sample and share music.
